Region Commercial Real Estate is pleased to announce the successful sale of the South Acton Congregational Church property, located at 29-35 School Street in Acton, Massachusetts, for $830,000. The approximately 7,101 square foot property was purchased by an entity interested in re-developing the church into multi-unit housing.
This distinctive and historic building, long a fixture in the South Acton neighborhood, offers a rare blend of architectural charm and functional space. Positioned in a highly accessible location, the building is a mere 4-minute walk to the South Acton commuter rail station and just minutes from Route 2, offering convenient access to surrounding towns including West Acton, Maynard, Stow, and West Concord.
“We’re happy the church and its trustees were able to successfully transition ownership to a new entity that will carry on the stewardship of the building,” said Ben Bolotin of Region Commercial. “The church’s historic designation, in coordination with the town, will preserve its familiarity to nearby residents, while hopefully serving as a welcome and needed housing option for the community in the future.”
Region Commercial Real Estate represented South Acton Congregational Church in this transaction. Century 21 Northeast represented the Buyer.
